Family historians won’t want to miss this workshop, co-sponsored by MHS and the Manchester Community Library. Jerry Carbone of Whetstone Book Genealogy will discuss methods and strategies to search the billions of indexed and unindexed records, genealogical books, and catalogs on Familysearch.org. He will also cover Familysearch Wiki, a source for research advice and records collections. The event begins at 2 pm at the library. (Snow date is February 24.)

Jerry Carbone started Whetstone Brook Genealogy shortly after his retirement as library director for 22 years at Brooks Memorial Library in Brattleboro. In addition to his undergraduate degree from Colorado State University and a graduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin,  Carbone earned a certificate in genealogy from Boston University. As a reference librarian and library director, he has over 37 years of experience in research, organization, management, planning, technology, and writing.
